Nutrition Support

Postby Erin » January 5th, 2010, 1:40 pm

Hi everyone my name is Erin Sparrold. I am the clinical nutritionist at Back in Action Chiropractic. I am curious how many of you might be interested in an informational get together to discuss nutrition. I am also wondering what aspect of nutrition interests you most?

Thanks and Happy New Year!!

Me me me! This sounds great. I was just googling this stuff the other day. I'm the type of person who is always hungry and I want to make sure that what I'm eating is helping my training. I don't pig out on junk food, but I would like to learn about the balance between proteins and carbs and how that affects overall performance and recovery. In addition, and I'm almost sure I'm probably the only one in this boat, I'm a nursing Mom. I was wondering how that impacts things. Thanks.

I'm interested too! Although I'm pregnant so I don't know where I would fall into this discussion.

When I was training for Ironman Lake Placid this year, I had questions about what to eat and when to eat before a long workout. Also, what to pack for lunch on days you have 2 or more workouts so you're not hungy 2 hours later (without getting too expensive). Also, what are some good options of food to eat immediately following a workout. I'm pregnant now and still exercising in moderation, but I'd be interested in touching on some of these topics for the future.

Excellent! I am excited to hear that there is an interest in nutrition. I will schedule a day to come out for a general discussion. I have extensive experience in pregnancy and lactation nutrition as well. But I am not sure that there would be enough interest to dedicate a group talk to the topic. I am available for individual consultations. You can also follow me on Facebook at Go Healthy with Erin.
