Christmas deals at heartratemonitorsusa.com

I hope this is not against the rules of this forum. If it is feel free to remove it and let me know.

In case you were looking to buy new HRM note that heartratemonitorsusa.com is running few promotions - they are offering 20% discount on many HRMs (Polar, Suunto, Garmin) with coupon code 'DEC2009'. At the same time Garmin is running 50 bucks mail-in rebate on the Garmin Forerunner 310xt. Few good deals if you need a new HRM.

Looks like the deals can be combined which brings the price of 310xt to 230 bucks w/o HR belt and 270 with HR belt (both after rebate).

I'm not affiliated with this company, just have great experience with them as a customer. Bought there my share of HRMs and training watches. They are based in Warminster (just 30-50 minutes south of Lehigh Valley and you can stop by to pickup your stuff if you want to). If you shop there do not pay for fast shipping as even the slowest one will get you the HRM in 1-2 days.

interesting...been looking at the xt since my 305 has been acting erratically the past few months and its battery will definitely not last through Cozumel.......

If you want to look at one before you buy we can meet up. I have one at home. Never raced with it though. It feels too big on my hand for the swim. But I swam with it once in the lake and it was not bad at all. So perhaps just perception. Still I stuck with my regular HRM watches for racing. But I do a lot of long running with it.

Picked up the 310xt the other week, so far so good, although I haven't been in the pool with it. The wireless data transfer is a nice feature!

Yeah there are really good deals to be found on Garmin 405/405cx or 310xt since Garmin is running the 50 bucks MIR on these units. The other day I got basic 405 for under 200 bucks after 20% discount and 50 USD MIR. At that price point it is actually a great watch / training computer especially for running and biking. 310xt is a must if you do triathlons and need to swim with the unit. 405 is not rated for swimming and while I saw people taking it to the pool and lake I would not do it as it voids the warranty.

Any feedback on the Garmin FR60 - I heard it can be used for swimming as well, unlike the 405.

Sorry, don't know anyone that has one. You can also swim with the new 310xt...which has quite a bit more features, but its also quite a bit more expensive.

Jan...I would have to say my tri fetish is visors for sure, I got a hundred of em probably!
